After signing his contract, Anthony Martial spoke in his first interview as a Sevilla FC player. Martial made his intentions very clear: "I want to play. Sevilla is big club and I have spoke with the manager. I feel as though everyone wanted me to come here and I did my best to make it possible. Lopetegui told me if I came here, i would be really happy. For me, it's more enjoyable to play and I wasn't playing in Manchester. I am really happy to be here and I am really excited to play in front of the fans. I want to play and I want to win. I know we are still in the Europa League and second in the league. I am going to give my best to help the team."

There is no doubt that Monchi's words helped him make the decision: "He was talking to me about the club, how great it is and the city as well. He told me if I came, it would be good for me and my family. It was a good conversation. He said that Sevilla FC is a family club and I know that all the fans are passionate about it. Now it's about us trying to do everything for them." Furthermore, Martial believes he is ready to play: "I don't think it will be difficult because I am ready. I trained a lot during the time I wasn't playing so I am ready to play and show everyone what I can do. Sometimes it takes time to adapt but I know I can adapt quickly. I will do everything in training and talk with the players so we can build a good relationship out on the pitch."

Whilst at Monaco, Ocampos and Martial shared the dressing room: "We didn't speak too much. I know he's a good guy and we will talk again in training. It will be good for me and I also know Jules Koundé. I know they will help me adapt to the team quickly." Martial also spoke to the Spaniards in United's ranks: "I talked to De Gea and Mata. They talked to me about the club and about the manager and it was all good."

To this date, Martial has faced Sevilla FC on three separate occasions, all in which Sevilla FC have been victorious: "The atmosphere here was good and I want to play here again, but this time in a white shirt." In the return leg of the last 16 of the Champions League the club left a good impression on Anthony: "Sevilla is a great club, they came to Old Trafford to win and that's what they did. The fans were amazing and it's good for us to have fans like this. We have to give everything for them and that's what I am going to do." The most recent meeting between the two took place on neutral ground, in Cologne: "I remember it was a great match. We had a lot of chances and didn't score and Sevilla FC went on to win the Europa League. I was happy for them, but it was unlucky for United."

"I remember the fans were amazing at Old Trafford"

Anthony has been keeping up to date with the team's progress and is sure that it will continue: "They're playing really well this season, they have a lot of good players and they're second in the league. We can still get it right if we keep this up. We have to keep going and be consistent if we want to win and that's what we are going to try and do." Not just the league but, Martial said we must keep an eye on the Europa League as well: "It will be very exciting because the final is here. It would be amazing to win the UEL in front of the fans."

In regards to the team, Anthony hopes the mix between experience and youth continues to pay off: "It's good that there is a mix of experienced and young players. We need to find the best way for us to stick together and play as a team." In finishing, Anthony sent out a message to the fans: "I just want to say to them that I am happy to be here and I will do my best to make them happy."
