It may seem hard to think that he can go on making records in for Sevilla FC, but if he continues performing at the highest level, as he is now, it is inevitable that Jesús Navas will keep on making history for the club. This is what he did once again in Pamplona, where he came onto the pitch in the second-half of the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey, reaching 50,000 minutes in the red and white strip in extra-time.

50,000 minutes, is complex to articulate let alone imagine, Jesús Navas has played for Sevilla FC (50, 021) in his two spells at the club, since his debut in the 03/04 season. Since then, he has played in 627 matches over sixteen seasons for the club including the 22/23 season, claiming 39 goals and 115 assists. This stat becomes even more impressive when one notes that in second place is no other than Juan Arza, who finished his career having played 37,199 minutes for Sevilla, just under 13,000 less than Navas.

He boasts 37,000 minutes in the First division and more than 8,000 in Europe across 50 matches

Breaking down the stat further, we find that Navas had played 36,926 minutes in the First division, in 455 matches, and 4,623 in the Copa del Rey, and 65 games in other competitions. With regard to Europe, Navas has played 4, 409 minutes in the UEFA Europa League and 3,343 in the Liga de Campeones, along with 285 minutos in the Supercopas of Europe.  Finally, Navas has played 435 minutos for Sevilla FC in Supercopas de España.

The Sevilla captain, will look to add to this when his team face Elche CF in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, adding to what has already been a wonderful career.
