FERNANDO: "MONCHI HAS WORKED VERY HARD FOR ME TO BE HERE TODAY"

The Brazilian centre-midfielder didn't hide his excitement at joining the Nervionenses

Fernando Reges has been officially presented as a Sevilla FC player. After signing the contract that will keep him at the Club for the next three seasons, the Brazilian midfielder was happy to give his first thoughts to the media: "I'm very happy to be at this great club. I have to work hard to give my best and that's what I'm going to do every day.

Afterwards, the new player talked about his experiences playing at the Sánchez-Pijzuán as an opponent: "I haven't had good experiences here with other teams, but I think that now I'm going to give it all being a Sevilla player to try and win the maximum number of matches". In that sense, he showed his willingness to play wherever he is needed: "I have always played as defensive pivot, but the coach will decide how and where he wants me to play. I'm available for whatever they ask of me.

Nicknamed 'the Octopus', for his technical skill and ability with his far-reaching legs, he showed his determination to work hard for the cause: "I had the opportunity to talk to some of the other players. Sevilla is very demanding Club and we are going to work to do our best". When asked about his fitness, he assured the press: "I think I'm fine, I've been working for days. I'm not at 100%, but I'm going to prepare myself to be ready as soon as possible".

Fernando did not want to finish without stopping to thank to the man who has given him the opportunity to speak today as a Sevillista: "I have to thank Monchi, who has worked hard for me to be here today".
