José Ángel Carmona has extended his contract with Sevilla FC until June 2025. The homegrown wing back, who used to play in a more central role, but is now more of a right-wing back, has the backing of the club as well as his coaches following a season in which he played 19 games under Paco Gallardo in what used to be the 'Segunda B' division.
HOMEGROWN TALENT, JOSÉ ÁNGEL, EXTENDS HIS CONTRACT UNTIL JUNE 2025
The winger played an important role for Paco Gallardo's Sevilla Atlético, the Sevilla FC reserve team, this season.
Despite being only 19 years old, José Ángel has already been selected for the Spanish National Under 19s team alongside his teammates, Carlos Álvarez and Juanlu. What is more is that his form has not gone unnoticed by first team coach, Julen Lopetegui, who gave him the call up to train alongside the first team in preseason.
As a result, the Nervión club continues to put its faith in talented youth, such as José Ángel, who will soon be 20 years old and will have at least four more seasons with Sevilla FC to continue developing and improving as a right-wing back.
