THE EUROPA LEAGUE UPS THE REWARDS FOR HIGHER RANKING CLUBS

It's already known that the format of the UEFA Europa League's qualification process will be subject to some changes, however, there will also be adjustments to the participants' monetary rewards which, as expected, will be higher than those seen in previous years. Globally, 560 million euros will be shared out, 160 million more than the previous year. This lump sum will be divided into four parts: 140 million for initial payments, 168 million according to the round reached by teams, another 168 million assigned to marketing and 84 million based on the Clubs' performances in Europe over the past decade. The former is one of the biggest changes, from which Sevilla FC will benefit greatly. 

It is estimated that, if the team manages to pass through the three eliminatory rounds and reach the group stages, Sevilla will be allocated a sum of around seven million euros, and in addition to the amount to pass said rounds - around more than half a million euros - they would also pocket the fixed amount credited to the teams amongst the top 48 in Europe - 2.92 million - and more than three million for the team's ranking, considering they stand as the third team in terms of coefficient of the last decade, sitting behind only Arsenal and Chelsea.

On qualifying for the group stages, they would earn 570,000 Euros for a win and 190,000 Euros for a draw in the six matchdays. Qualifying for the round-of-16 would equate to 500,000 Euros and 1.1 million for securing a place in the round-of-8, 1.5 million for the quarter-finals and 2.4 million more on bagging a spot in the semifinal. Finding themselves in the final would mean a prize of 4.5 million Euros, whilst the Champion would receive 4 million on top of the 3.5 million for the Super Cup.
