Sevilla FC's captain on the night, Sergio Escudero, spoke about his side's victory over Dudelange after the match: "I've now recovered from my injury in Valencia. The important thing is that that's in the past now, and you've got to be happy with the win today".

The left-back was delighted after the team secured their passage through to the knockout stages of the UEL: "You've got to be happy with it. It's very hard to win four consecutive matches in Europe. You've got to be happy with what we did out there". It was a comfortable victory in tricky conditions: "We knew it was going to be a tricky game in every aspect. The pitch didn't help but we put more focus on how we were going to play, and the things we needed to do well".

The victory came on the day that Sevilla FC played their 200th official European game: "It's a nice feeling to be involved in a game like this. The most important thing is that we got the win and qualified for the knockout stages". For the captain, the team's aim in the last two games is to "win them all. It's the only mindset that we can have".

The team will now start looking ahead to Sunday's derby, a game in which Escudero said that they're "only thinking about winning. They're great, special games. It's going to be a great atmosphere, but the important thing for us is that we get the win". Finally, Escudero assured that "you have to be aware that every game is important. Today's just as much as Sunday's. From now though, we can start thinking about Sunday's fixture".

"As soon as we get to the dressing room, we'll start to get the fire in our belly's. They are special games and brilliant to play in. The motivation has to be there from the outset".
