'It doesn't surprise me that Espanyol are up there, they're doing things well,' said Escudero in reference to Sunday's encounter

Sergio Escudero spoke to Sevilla FC's official media at the airport in Izmir before returning home to Sevilla: Sevilla's captain analysed the match, which, as he predicted ahead of the match, did not go anything like the way the first match at the Sánchez-Pizjuán went: 'We knew that it was going to be difficult at their ground, but the important thing is to get the three points to stay top and to fight for the remaining matches to be first in the group. We had the game under control but the first goal and the sending-off changed everything. They grew in confidence and any team in that phase can make things difficult for you.'

It doesn't surprise me that they're up there, they're doing things well and the fact that the table is so tight is good for football,' said the Valladolid native in reference to Sunday's encounter against RCD Espanyol.
