Julien Escudé, after returning to Sevilla FC in a Sporting Management role, spoke to SFC Radio this afternoon where he talked about his happiness upon returning home: "Every time I've returned to the Sánchez-Pizjuán it has been great. I've a lot of memories here as a footballer. We are going to see if we can do a good job. I'm delighted to be returning to work with Monchi and Fernando Navarro, and I can't wait to get started".

"It's a new department and I'm very grateful that Monchi thought about me. We have to always track the progress of our players, because they are still representing the club. We're gong to have a meeting in the coming days to draw out a plan of action, but I know that I will be travelling a lot because there are players in different countries. We want to know how they're feeling and that that they know that the club is always there for them".

"Every player has to feel that there is a badge and a club behind them"

Escudé talked about the new post that he is taking up with the club: "When Monchi spoke to me about this position, I didn't think it was a thing. Modern football encompasses many games and a lot of money. You have to look after every player that is a part of the first-team squad, in the academy or on loan. Every player has to feel that there is a badge and a club behind them. It's a position that looks into the future, because there must be a good external image and we have to present ourselves as a professional club. This, in a nutshell, will be my task".

"I still had this itch for football and my wife was the first one to say to me: "go to Sevilla", which was great to hear. I got a good feeling and when Monchi asked me, I didn't take long to think about it. I spent six and a half years of my life in Sevilla; I won trophies, I was called up to my national team, I made friends, I found my wife... Sevilla has given me a lot. I have a lot of motivation to return and give back to the club", the former player spoke about his return to the club.

"I spent so many great years in Sevilla. It didn't take me long to decide, and I can't wait to return"

Finally, the Frenchman spoke about the team's start to the current season: "Goals win you games, but it was important for the team to work on their defensice structure. It has been a positive start to the league, and every competition has its ups and downs. I see a very competitive squad and there are good players in every position. The coach's job is to find a place for the players and, of course, as has always been done in Sevilla, have to will to always win".
