On the fourth edition of 'A Balón parado', Diego Carlos was the man who was in the hotseat. The Brazilian talked about his first impressions of the club during the show, which kicked off with him actually talking about his defensive partner, Daniel Carriço: "He's a great person. He's a player who has a lot of experience, and therefore that makes it easy to play with him. On the pitch, he talks a lot and this helps a lot when we need to step up or fall back a bit".

The Sevilla centre-back talked about how happy he was with the atmosphere that exists in the dressing room, a place where "everybody talks to each other, there are some good people in there. If we have any sort of a problem, we'll talk about it amongst ourselves and we'll find a solution". Moreover, Carlos spoke about the last part of the game against Eibar, "a game that wasn't overly difficult but one in which we lacked communication towards the end of the game. We started to concede sloppy goals which isn't like us".

On the club itself, the centre-back stated that: "Sevilla FC has a beautiful history. I think that we can make history. We have a great squad, with players who have had very successful spells at other clubs too. I believe that we can achieve great things if we keep fighting for each other and keep having the will to win".

"Whenever I got the call from Monchi in my third season in France, I said that I wanted to come. I wanted to come here. Seeing the history of Sevilla, everything that they had won, I was delighted to be able to join. For my family, it was a great opportunity to be able to continue to grow, little by little. For me, being here isn't a stepping stone on to bigger things, this is that massive stepping stone for me".
