The Netherlands had it tough against Ukraine. Frank de Boer's side eventually came out on top in Amsterdam in their first match of EURO 2020 against a Ukraine who never gave up. Wijnaldum and Weghorst put the Dutch in front after the second half but Shevchenko's men managed to level the game with Yarmolenko and Yaremchuk's goals. 

The Dutch recovered from the setback however and came away with the win five minutes from time with Dumfries' goal. Luuk de Jong came on after the winner, closing out the final minutes of the game. The Netherlands move second in the group below leaders Austria who they face on Thursday in Amsterdam at 21:00 CEST.
