After a brilliant performance secured progression to the Round of 32, Sevilla FC are now focused on the draw for the next round, which takes place on Tuesday at 13:00 CET at the RFEF headquarters. The tie will take place at some point between Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd January, just after the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu, and the tie will be decided on the night.

The 32 teams in the draw consist of the 28 sides who won their second round ties, as well as the four sides who took part in the Spanish Super Cup. There will be four pots in the draw. One pot will consist of the sides from the Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, FC Barcelona and Valencia CF. Another pot will contain the other 14 LaLiga sides: CA Osasuna, RCD Mallorca, Real Betis, CD Leganés, Athletic Club, Granada CF, Villarreal CF, Real Valladolid, Sevilla FC, SD Eibar, RCD Espanyol, RC Celta, Real Sociedad and Levante UD. A third pot will consist of the 6 remaining Second Division sides: Real Zaragoza, CD Mirandés, CD Tenerife, Elche CF, Girona FC and Rayo Vallecano, while the final pot will contain the 8 sides from the Second Division B (third tier): CD Ebro, UD Ibiza, CD Badajoz, Badalona CF, CyD Leonesa, RC Recreativo, UD Logroñés and Unionistas de Salamanca CF. There will be no Third Division (fourth tier) sides in the draw. The lower-tier side will play their match at home.

The draw will pit the four Super Cup sides against Second Division B sides; the other four sides from that division will face other LaLiga sides, which could well be Sevilla FC. The six Second Division sides will then be drawn against LaLiga sides too. The remaining four LaLiga teams will be drawn against each other; in those two fixtures, the team who is drawn first will play at home.
