Sevilla FC got back to winning ways on Saturday evening. It was vital that they did so, after going four league matches without a winas well as losing their last three against Granada CF, SD Eibar and Athletic Club. Points were needed to move up the table and recover some of the positive feelings from the end of last season, and a penalty from Lucas Ocampos was enough to secure all three points for Julen Lopetegui's side. Of course, the win combined two hallmarks of this Sevilla FC side: a win and a clean sheet.

This was the second time in the 20/21 season that the Blanquirrojos were able to keep their opponents outas they did in the first home match of the season against Levante UD. Since the visit of the Granotas, Sevilla FC have conceded in every league match: Barcelona, Granada, Eibar and Athletic, meaning that the Sevillistas could only get a result at the Camp Noua 1-1 draw. With Osasuna unable to beat Bono yesterday, the Nervioneneses once again demonstrated that defensive strength which has characterised the side since Julen Lopetegui's arrival.

The fourth clean sheet of the season, with two in LaLiga and two in the Champions League

Last night's clean sheet also means that the Nervionenses have now kept five clean sheets in their last six home league matches, five wins and one defeat, which is as many as they had kept in their previous sixteen matches at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in LaLiga, with seven wins, seven draws and two defeats. The Blanquirrojos also have two clean sheets from their three Champions League matches this seasonshutting out Chelsea FC in London and Stade Rennais in Nervión

Now, it is time for Sevilla FC to continue picking up pointsHowevertheir next opportunity to do soagainst RC Celta de Vigo in LaLiga Matchday 10, the eighth league match of the season for the Sevillistas, will come after the upcoming international break.
