The players were accompanied by their partners, and, before the meal, there was a toast with the club captains, manager Julen Lopetegui, General Sporting Director Monchi, and President José Castro. After the meal, it was the President himself who took to the floor, giving a speech that leaves no doubts about the ambition of the club and the unwavering desire to go one better, but without forgetting to mention what the practically-new squad has achieved so far this season.

Castro asked for one last push in 2019 with two key games away at Bergantiños and Mallorca, and is hoping for a 2020 where the club continues to grow as it currently is. There was also a birthday cake for Sergio Reguilón, who turned 23.

"In the Sevilla FC that we want to build, limits are banned"

The President said the following: "Firstly, I want to congratulate you all for the great season you have had so far. In a year like this, with so many changes in the squad, with new coaching staff, being third in LaLiga and going into the UEFA Europa League knockouts as group winners is a real success story". After highlighting Monchi and Lopetegui's work, he continued to address the players: "You have understood that this club is for winners, a club where giving up is banned and a club where nothing is enough. We are happy, of course we are. But we always want more. And there is still room for us to achieve more, I'm convinced of that".

"We haven't done anything yet, there's still a lot left for us to do. I want to send you all a message of ambition. Don't set yourself limits… In the Sevilla FC that we want to build, limits are banned. Here in the 21st Century we have proven that dreams can come true if you work hard", he stated, finishing the speech with the traditional shout of "¡Viva el Sevilla!".
