Club Chairman José Castro spoke to official media after the conclusion of Tuesday's match at the MSV Arena in Duisburg. He began by saying that "you can only be happy when our team is capable of playing a serious and competitive match. We're now in the semi finals of our tournamentwhen Ocampos scored I remembered our fanswho have suffered during the pandemic for five months and have not seen Sevilla in their stadium. This team is giving their all, and they are determined to become champions, we'll keep going with humility and desires, because the Sevilla fans deserve that this team keeps doing something great. If we're capable of reaching the finalwhich will be difficultit would be tough to beat this season".

Castro also highlighted the commitment of the whole team: "We have to keep dreaming, with a clear excitement and with a team that knows what it is playing for, with people who are very involved", he insisted, also stating that "this team competes in a great way, they have a manager that makes them compete and that knows how complicated it was going to be today against a team that is different to Roma. It's true that there was a fright early on with Traoré and that penalty that Bono saved, but then we tried until Ocampos and this squad took us to another semi finalsomething which we must be able to assess by looking at the teams who are there. So, we have to dedicate all this to all Sevilla fans".

"I'm sure that the manager will begin to instil that passion into the squad for the semi final"

He also spoke about the upcoming match against Manchester United in Cologne on Sunday: "The semi final sounds magnificent, but we have to enjoy the moment, our players must rest and I'm sure that the manager will begin to instil that passion into the squad for the semi final, where we have to respect Manchester United without forgetting that Sevilla is the king of the competition".

José Castro finished by talking about the whole club's desire for success all season, and in this competition in particular: "No one has done more for this title and this tournament than Sevilla FC and we'll continue with the same intention. From the first moment, the manager knew that there are three tournaments and that we had to go for all three, as well as knowing what this one means. We will try everything to achieve the best we can, always with humility".
