CARRIÇO UNDERGOES OPERATION FOR QUAD INJURY

Sevilla FC and club Captain, Daniel Carriço, underwent an operation on Friday night in Barcelona, owing to an injury to his right thigh picked up in Monday's training session. The injury was treated in the Quirón clinic by Doctor Cugat in the presence of Sevilla FC's First Team doctor, who has made it clear the operation was carried out to a satisfactory standard.  

The player will carry out post-operation rehab for a few days in Barcelona and then return to Sevilla to complete rehabilitation. The player will be injured for the next few weeks and the date of his return will depend on his rehabilitation. 

Carriço was injured in an area he has never injured before in a morning session last Monday. After several medical tests which took place in Sevilla in the following days, the decision was taken to treat the injury through operation to ensure recovery would be as quick as possible.
