CAPARRÓS TO LEAVE HIS POST AS FIRST-TEAM COACH AND MOVE INTO AN ORGANISATIONAL ROLE AT THE CLUB

Joaquín Caparrós will remain with Sevilla FC next season; however, it will not be as the first-team coach. The manager had a meeting today in Tanzania with the president, José Castro, and the sporting director, Monchi, in which his future was laid out, a future which will continue his links with the club.

Caparrós, who has now managed Sevilla in three different spells, will put an end to his third this Thursday in the friendly match against Simba SC in the Dar es Salaam National Stadium in Tanzania. From the 2019/20 season, Caparrós will have an important role in the club's sporting management, a department led by Monchi.

Caparrós, 64 years old, has managed a total of 510 La Liga matches (167 with Sevilla) and is the manager to have managed Sevilla for the most official games, 241, ahead of Emery (205) and Manolo Cardo (200). In addition, he is ahead of Emery for games won with 111, only behind Ramón Encinas who has 116.

Sevilla FC have also informed Luci Martín, Sevilla Atlético's coach, that he will not continue in this post next season. The club will announce in the coming days who is to manage the second team.
