Andalucía and flamenco are two words that will always go hand-in-hand. The art has been declared as Immaterial Cultural Heritage of Humanity, which originates from our region, and was the focus of the most recent activity organised by Sevilla FCs Business Club. Taking place in the Palacio Andaluz, one of the most important flamenco venues that exists, the meet-up served to strengthen relations between sponsors of the Business Club, focusing on the origins of this art and analysing its cultural importance.

This is the second time the Business Club has addressed this theme. The first was held to consolidate the connection between different business sectors and with special guests. On the one hand, Manuel Macías, President of the 'Sevilla Congress & Convention Bureau’ and an expert in flamenco, was the one who dissected the origins, evolution and place in society today for flamenco. On the other hand, Francisco Javier Rubio, Commercial Director of the Palacio Andaluz, explained how business negotiations work in flamenco. Kurt Grotsch, the Director of the Museum of Flamenco Dance of Seville, was present.

The activities included: learning about the percussion instruments present in flamenco, how to make a beat with the palms of your hands, and how to dance to the music. Moreover, they learnt about the industry of clothes in flamenco. One could not fault the exhibition as it was a small but spectacular show, revealing the best of flamenco and the so called 'third time', and was an opportunity for the exchange of information, interests and contacts.
