Sevilla FC achieved last night, when the game reached its end, an important point away against VfL Wolfsburg, which left them second in the group, exactly level with the German side, with two points, and behind the current leader FC Salzburg. The penalty scored by Ivan Rakitic, also meant that Sevilla have established a new record away from home in the Champions League, the best in its history. 

Sevilla last night made it eight games in a row away from how without losing in the greatest continental competition, having had three victories and five draws. In the Julen Lopetegui era there are two triumphs, at Krasnodar and Rennes, and three draws, at Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg, whilst the three remaining gams belong to the 17/18 season, where they drew at Maribor and Munich and won in Manchester which led them into the quarter-finals of the tournament.
