The Sevilla FC coach was happy to find a "very authoritative" win

Sevilla FC coach Eduardo Berizzo seemed extremely happy with his side's dominant win against NK Maribor this Tuesday, a match he had to watch from the stands after receiving a one-game touchline ban. "It was a convincing win, we used the ball very well, we accelerated at the right moments, and that's how you score goals, you accelerate and change the rhythm of attack. We hinted at it in the first half and even more in the second. We won the game with a lot of authority," he added.

"We found what we were looking for, to speed up in the opponent's half"

Asked about the performances of Franco Vázquez and Correa, Berizzo explained "they moved out of their positions and played in unexpected areas. The first half was one of feeling the game out, but when we turned up the pace we became unstoppable. We got what we were looking for - to speed up in the opponent's half and to change the pace of our direct attack. In the last game we were missing that and today we added it. We put Maribor on the ropes."

He also talked about the night's star man, Ben Yedder, scorer of the three goals against the Slovenian side: "We need Muriel to have a game like that as well, we have to give that to him and not rely on Ben Yedder, but his team-mates as well, because that's how Ben Yedder found his goals. We need the team to give Muriel the same passes. Great players are a blessing. We have to put them all together, though sometimes they don't fit. We have to combine them so that the side always has firepower up front."
