The trip to Russia hasn't ended well for Jorge Sampaoli's Argentinian side, who suffered a defeat in Krasnodar this Wednesday against Nigeria. Things were off to a flying start for the Argentinian selection, in particular for the only Sevillista representative - Éver Banega. The midfielder was first to score in the 28th minute with Aguero following close behind with his goal, doubling the score.

However, the Nigerians closed the gap just moments before half-time with a goal from Iheanacho and the side managed to turn the match around thanks to two goals from Iwobi and another from Idowu. It has been a tough year for Argentina, although the most testing struggle has been their rightfully earnt qualification for the upcoming 2018 World Cup.
