Spain are the current holders of the U-21 European Championships, but they still have to go through qualifying for the next finals which will be in 2021 and take place in Hungary and Slovenia. Luis de la Fuente's outfit began their qualifying group yesterday visiting Kazakhstan, where they won by the smallest of margins thanks to a penalty by Dani Olmo.

There was a hint of Sevilla in the Spanish side as well as Sevilla Atlético's centre-back, José María Amo, played the full 90 minutes alongside Cuenca at the heart of the defence. In addition, Alejandro Pozo played the second half, coming on in place of Puado from Espanyol. On Tuesday at 19.45 in the Municipal de Castalia, they will play in another qualifier against Montenegro.

On the other hand, Lucho García played the full match in Colombia U-23's 2-0 defeat against Brazil in Sao Paulo. One player who has now finished his stint with the international side is Bryan Gil. After starting on Wednesday with the U-19 side against Germany, he didn't feature in the friendly against Japan in San Pedro del Pinatar, where they lost by one goal to nil.
