Aleix Vidal starred on SFC TV's 'A Balón Parado' this Tuesday. The wing-back is having a tough year with injuries: 'It's hard. I had never really had many injuries before and it's especially annoying when you're not playing as much as you want, you get your chance and then you get injured. It's a shame because I'm not used to this but it's an experience to learn from. The only serious injury I've had was dislocating my ankle at Barcelona. You have to get used to injuries so they don't affect you too much.'

Aleix is ready to help the team out in the remaining two months: 'I always work as hard as I can and I'm having a tough year with injuries. I'm trying to resolve it as quick as possible and now I feel good. I don't think I should have many more. It's important to have a positive mindset - even if you get a blow you can't let it get you down too much.'

Although he isn't playing as much as he would have wanted, the Catalan is convinced that returning to the club in the summer was the best choice ahead of other options: 'There's no point denying it. Everyone likes to earn money but I've always thought that it'll come when it comes. It's important but it doesn't make you completely happy. Coming back was the best decision I could have taken. It's true the situation isn't exactly what I was hoping for but those who know me know that I never give up. We have to come together for the final stage of the season and then work hard to be as best as we can be next year.'

Monchi is back, who signed him in 2014 and even wanted to sign him for Roma: 'It's true he wanted me when I was at Barcelona but they were under the transfer ban and I had really pushed myself to be able to play with the best of the best. Monchi is a great person and he transmits calmness with how he is. He instils confidence and we are all happy.' In fact, Aleix thought back to his first spell in Nervión: 'There are sporting differences but that we have a great group remains the same and people know how I am. I like to be an important part of the team and that everyone feels comfortable with me. I try to create a good atmosphere and we have a good dressing room.'

'When you aren't confident, things don't go for you the same way. In Barcelona, I hardly played for the first year and a half. I only did if others were injured but when I got a run of three or four games I made the spot my own until I got injured. Maybe if I hadn't have got injured I'd be starting for Barcelona now, or maybe not. You never know with football.'

Going over his career, he admits it hasn't been easy but he made his dream come true: 'I went from wanting to retire and go back to my hometown to signing for Sevilla, winning the Europa League, playing for Spain and Barcelona with the best players in the world. It took a while but you never know what life has in store for you.'
