The Catalan wing-back will wear Sevilla's number 11 and showed his commitment to compete at 100% with his teammates: "I've decided not to force myself physically so there's no problems getting here"

Aleix Vidal was presented today as a Sevillista. On his return to Nervión, the right-sided player first wanted to thank the Club for the effort made to make his return possible: "We know that it hasn't been an easy operation but I thank Sevilla FC for its effort. There were offers from abroad but people who know me know that I've never done things for money but for the feeling. The heart always leads and the only option was to come back here, where I've always felt loved".

On his fitness, the wing-back assured that he's available immediately: "I come having trained from the 9th of July, though it's true that I decided to not force myself physically so there were no problems being here. But I'm in good shape on a physical level and mentally and I really want to start making the most of it". In that sense, he emphasised his excitement to step foot on the Sánchez-Pizjuán again: "I come here with even more excitement than when I arrived from Almería. They've been three difficult years for me. I'm in the ideal position to come back to be who I've always been".

Asked about derbies, and what it would be like to hear the anthem again: "I'm excited to play a derby but that's the very least. The anthem is something that, beyond playing here, always hits you and I can't ask for any more".

Another subject on the table was competing with Navas for a spot on the right flank: "We all know the kind of player Jesús is and what he represents. If there's going to be competition it will be healthy and I don't see any problem playing alongside each other. I will work to give 100% and then after that I'm not the one who picks the team".

To finish up, Vidal was asked about next Sunday's clash with his former employers: "More than catching Barcelona off their guard, we all know who we need to catch off their guard. They're coming in having played with their internationals and I hope to be able to experience that first success, even if it's against my former teammates".
