Following victory against Spartak, Sevilla FC have reached 60 victories at home in Europe since their debut in continental competition against Benfica in 1957

This Wednesday, Sevilla FC achieved their 60th home win in European competition by beating Spartak Moscow in the Ramón Sánchez-PizjuánThe side first competed in European competition in Nervión in the 1957/58 season, 60 years ago in the European Cup. On that day, Sevilla beat Benfica 3-1 with goals from Pahuet, Antoniet and Pepillo

Little did anyone know that this would be the start of a beautiful and extended history that has carried the Nervionenses to five UEFA Europa League titles, one European Supercup and a Champions League appearance tally that only four Spanish sides have surpassed.
