15 years ago today, on 27 April 2006, Sevilla FC would embark upon an exciting path into the unknown. 15 years since the legendary Antonio Puerta played one of the most important games in the history of the Club. And despite the successes born of that mythical goal and the glut of trophies that has come with it, the game remains just as important.

The team had to be patient that April night against Schalke 04. But Puerta appeared in the box and fired a wicked left-footed shot to Frank Rost's left and Sevilla FC changed forever. Sevillistas cried with innocence as they knew something was afoot, but they could have never imagined the heights Puerta's goal would elevate them to. The Sánchez-Pizjuán partied long into the night in one of those Feria nights the city hopes to get back as soon as possible.

Today, 15 years ago, Sevilla FC no longer had to go back into the days of black and white to remember historic events. Puerta's goal was the prologue of a great history that is no where close to finishing. 15 years later, that path toward the unknown is still being tread. Back then, as now, Sevillistas dreamed of feats that one day seemed impossible. But nothing is impossible when you Never Surrender.
