Vicente Iborra spoke to club media after the defeat at the Vicente Calderón on Sunday.

"Nothing has gone well recently," said the 29-year-old. "We've got to lift ourselves, work hard and start to see everything differently.

"In recent games we've not felt great and we need to start winning to change that."

The Sevilla captain insists that there is hope for the season's run in despite the recent dip in form that the team has suffered.

"An exciting run in awaits us, it's up to ourselves to reach our goals and we now have two weeks to prepare well for the Sporting game and return to winning ways."

Iborra added: "Against a team like Atlético Madrid, if you make errors like we did then they make you pay. All we can do is work hard on our mentality and physicality to improve and look at ourselves for an improvement. We are all united in this difficult time and we have to look forward with ambition and conviction."
