In two weekend´s time, international football will return and the list of players who will leave the city to represent their country continues growing. The latest player to be officially picked is Sevilla centre-back Simon Kjaer, who will captain the Denmark squad.

Denmark will play Poland on the 1st of September in the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen and then Armenia on the 4th of September in Yerevan. The Scandinavian squad, who missed out on the Brazil 2014 and France 2016 finals, is currently third in their qualifying group for the Russia World Cup - six points behind Poland and on level points with Montenegro.
