The Sevilla FC Board of Directors, who met on Friday for a regular session in the Zahara room of the Los Lebreros hotel for about six hours, have agreed to take legal action against the parties involved in Vitolo's departure from the club, such as the player himself, his father, the Bahía representation agency, and clubs Atlético de Madrid and UD Las Palmas, where the Gran Canaria-born Spanish international will spend next season.

The club have already entrusted two law firms with the case, to defend the interests of the entity. Sevilla FC reached an agreement to extend Vitolo's contract on the 10th of July, backed by written documentation in Sevilla's possession, which the player decided to break unilaterally.

It wasn't only this important point that was approved by the board, chaired by José Castro, since during the meeting there was a lot of talk about the immediate future, with a view to the impending start of the season. As such, the governing body of the club gave the green light to investment in order to complete the squad, and three or four more players will be added to the five players who have already joined. As a result, the 17/18 Sevilla FC squad will undoubtedly be the most expensive in the club's history and the fourth most expensive in the Spanish league.

The season ticket campaign is already producing figures above those reached at this point last season

With that in mind, the progress of the season ticket renewal campaign was analysed, which shows positive data in comparison to this point of the renewal period last season, already exceeding the figures reached last summer.

Likewise, a review has been made of the current state of the stadium's renovation work, and the conditioning of the main pitch at the training ground with its new stand, which are meeting the expected deadlines. Therefore, for the commemorative match between Sevilla FC and AS Roma for the Trofeo Antonio Puerta the fans will see some significant developments since the end of last season.

All was amicable at the Sevilla FC board meeting in which, being a work related meeting, there are obviously issues to discuss and discrepancies arise. In this respect the board members want to clarify that in no case, in the run-up to the meeting that did not occur, were there serious tensions between the Sevilla FC President José Castro and board member Ramón Somalo, beyond that both uphold different points of view in a certain matter.
