He's the latest to arrive and although he's participated in various training sessions, he is yet to compete as a Sevillista.  Guilherme Arana appeared on A Balón Parado where Roberto Arrocha wanted to find out more about him as a footballer, but above all as a person. The first question was a given, asked about Sevilla's cup triumph at the Wanda: "It was a great match. The team had suffered a set back as a result of recent defeats, but this win has been extremely important for confidence".

Arana's footballing career in Brazil came to an end with his move to Europe: "Sevilla contacted me and showed interest. I spoke with my family and we made the decision. Óscar Arias travelled to Brazil and calmed my nerves about the move, reassuring me that players such as Alves, Renato and Luis Fabiano had made the same move. There was an approach but we were in the middle of the championship so it was difficult to leave. Sevilla remained interested and I am extremely happy to be here following picking up the title with Corinthians".

Although he hasn't yet been able to make an official appearance on the pitch as a Sevillista, the Brazilian already knows what he's in for: "The differences that I've noticed here are that football here is a lot quicker and a lot more intense. In Brazil, the game is played slightly slower, but I prefer the pace here because you constantly need to play and pass".
