Pablo Sarabia has proven to be the best signing of last summer’s transfer window with his stand-out performances for Sevilla this season.

The 24-year-old’s arrival at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán from Getafe slipped somewhat under the radar amid the appointment of Jorge Sampaoli as manager, and Sarabia got off to a slow start and was confined to the bench.

But, as the season has gone on, the winger has forced his way in to the starting XI and has scored seven of his ten goals this season since December 21, with Sampaoli now considering him a vital cog in the Nervión machine.

With ten goals to his name – double figures for the first time in his career –  Sarabia is up with Luciano Vietto (10) and Wissam Ben Yedder (17) at the top of the goal scoring charts in all competitions. Added to that, Sarabia has provided the most assists of anyone in the squad with 13 to date, with five games to play this season.

That gives Sarabia a hand in 23 of Sevilla’s 86 goals this season, which works out at 26.7% of the goals scored this campaign.

Behind Sarabia for goal involvement is Ben Yedder, with 17 goals amd three assists, with the rest making up the list as follows: Vietto (10 goals, 5 assists), Iborra (8 goals, 3 assists), Vitolo (4 goals, 7 assists), Correa (7 goals, 3 assists), Jovetic (5 goals, 5 assists), Franco Vázquez (4 goals, 3 assists), Nzonzi (3 goals, 3 assists), Nasri (3 goals, 3 assists) and Mercado (3 goals, 1 assist).
